NAPLES, Fla. (WFLA) – The Collier County Sheriff’s Office announced that a 15-year-old boy is facing felony charges after a chase on an electric dirt bike down a roadway Tuesday.

CCSO said officers were on patrol in central Naples when they saw the boy speeding and performing stunts on the sidewalk.

CCSO said body camera footage showed the 15-year-old boy fleeing the vehicle at speeds of nearly 110 mph in heavy traffic after attempting a traffic stop.

Officers say the boy repeatedly ignored commands, jumped over sidewalks and cut into cars along Golden Gate Parkway.

CCSO said the pursuit ended when the boy rolled into a ditch and the bike became stuck.

CCSO said the boy was transported to the Collier County Jail for processing, where he is charged with escape and flight from law enforcement.
