A military official told Florida every day that the US military is expected to meet its recruitment targets in April. So far, the Army has already reached 85% of its 2025 enlistment target.

The DOD number indicates that Florida is one of the top states where adoption surges have been taking place. The overall trend indicates that military recruitment is gaining.

The program has proven to be a recruitment lifeline, helping applicants to meet body fat and academic standards. Once recruits meet the Army standards, they proceed to basic training.
Military recruiters are steadily increasing in 2024, with women and black people, accounting for 25% of new Army recruits.
Still, there are some obstacles the military is trying to approach.
The pentagon says that only 23% of Americans aged 17 to 24 are eligible to serve. The reason was an increased obesity rate and reduced performance of armed services occupational aptitude batteries, a standardized test used to screen potential participants.
