The University of Florida has been ranked No. 1 in the nation for online bachelor’s degree programs in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings, marking another milestone in the university’s expansion of its digital education footprint.
The university also received top rankings in several professional categories, including No. 1 for online bachelor’s programs for business and veterans, and No. 3 for online bachelor’s programs in psychology. Multiple graduate-level online programs were also ranked among the leaders in the U.S., with education programs ranked No. 2 and online MBA programs ranked No. 5.
University officials said the rankings reflect the growth and quality of UF Online. UF Online offers undergraduate programs across multiple colleges and specialties and is designed to serve working adults, veterans, and students balancing education with other responsibilities.
The online program combines flexible course offerings with the same academic standards and faculty as the on-campus program, with reduced tuition and fees, the university said.
Beyond our undergraduate programs, several UF colleges are in the nation’s top 20 for online graduate programs, including Warrington College of Business and Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. Certain programs that rank highly include online master’s degrees in engineering, electrical engineering, and business.
U.S. News evaluates online programs based on factors such as student engagement, faculty qualifications, peer review, student services, technology, and academic performance.
University leaders said the ranking supports the university’s broader strategy to expand access to higher education while maintaining academic rigor and student support in an increasingly digital learning environment.
