BOURUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Two motorcyclists were taken to hospital Saturday.

The motorcyclist, a 67-year-old Deleon Springs man and a 25-year-old Orange City woman, was heading west in the inner lane when she collided with Gator, the Florida Highway Patrol told NBC affiliate WESH.

This impact has led to both motorcyclists breaking off the interstate. The Troopers said he crashed his 67-year-old Suzuki GSX-R1000R motorcycle into a tree.

Authorities say he and the Orange City woman were taken to HCA Lake Monroe Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Board was sent to the scene to support injured crocodiles.

As of Sunday, the crash was under investigation and no further information was available immediately.
