Twinkly Awards: Call for entries for 2025

Are you an avid Christmas decorator in your neighborhood? Do you pass by dazzling holiday displays on your way to work? Are you an ambitious Clark Griswold who brings out thousands of twinkling lights each year?

The Orlando Sentinel is searching for the best holiday light displays in Central Florida for the 8th Annual Twinkle Awards.

Eventually, I plan to make a list of my favorite holiday displays and name the awards accordingly. Entries must be from decorated homes or residences, not park or attraction lighting. Entries within a 45-minute drive of Orlando will be considered. For example, Lakeland and Cocoa Beach are both a little too far away.

There’s no wrong answer to Christmas cheer, but past award-winning displays have been particularly cheerful and bright, including thoughtful handmade touches, featuring lights that dance to music, or showing off thinking outside the box.

Submissions can be uploaded to OrlandoSentinel.com/TwinklyAwards or emailed to pconnolly@orlandosentinel.com with address, display details and photo. The deadline for nominations is December 15th at noon. Winners will be announced online and in print on December 19th.
