FLAGRAR COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida home health nurse has been arrested after a video said he showed he was physically abused a disabled patient.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a Palm Coast home on Saturday, Feb. 8, following a battery report. She confronted Jenkins and said he had apologized.
She later told her deputies she had a “gut sensation” and reviewed the footage from a camera placed in the living room. The woman said the footage showed Jenkins hitting and kicking the patient multiple times. She said she stood up to Jenkins and ordered him to leave the house.

The lawmaker reviewed the footage and said he saw Jenkins kick and attack a patient on an iPad.
Patients were unable to report abuse or protect themselves due to their condition.
The next day, a woman reporting the incident told her deputies she discovered that over 25 other cases of Jenkins had physically and verbally abused the patient the previous week. In the video, she said she can see Jenkins sitting on the victim, throwing items at the victim, punching the victim, and pushing the victim’s head into the ground.
On February 19, investigators obtained a warrant for Jenkins’ arrest in four counts of abuse of a disabled adult. Jenkins was arrested at his Daytona Beach home on February 21st. He was taken to the Volsia County branch, where he was released on a $40,000 bond.
Sheriff Rick Staley said: “This was a case of tragic and abusive abuse, and was used by vulnerable adults by people caring for them,” Sheriff Rick Staley said. “We thanked our family members who were visionary and foresighted to put cameras inside the house and then immediately reported on the continued abuse of adults with disabilities, which are received by loved ones, especially those who cannot speak for themselves.”
