Top Peeves’ neighbors are with other neighbors in the community

Home inspection company HomeGNOME has surveyed more than 1,000 US homeowners about their pet pussies and people living next door to their neighborhood.

The investigation found tension among neighbors due to poor maintenance on the home. Homeowners say it has a negative impact on property value.

The top five Pet Peeves neighbors reported being with other neighbors.

1. Garbage (27.4%)

2. Landscaping and Lawn Care (22.6%)

3. Home maintenance (21.9%)

4. Noise (19.4%)

5. Pets (16.5%)

“Maintenance and improvements to your neighbor’s home can have a huge impact on your local property value and even the design of your dream home – negative or positive,” Home Gnome said.

3.4% of respondents said they considered moving because of their relationship with their neighbors.

Almost a quarter of homeowners ages 18-24 are unhappy with the aesthetics of their neighborhood.

23.4% of respondents aged 65 and over are dissatisfied with public transport in their neighborhoods.

17.1% of respondents aged 18-24 are unhappy with the waste management in their neighborhoods. Research shows that community composting is popular with this demographic.

Approximately 61% (18-24) of young respondents have less than 10 feet between their homes and their neighbors’ homes. 22% of respondents in this age group list their lack of privacy as one of the top three pet peeves.

Over a half of respondents felt that their neighbour choices have increased their property value somewhat or largely.

Some people report that they had to knock down trees, remove bushes, install fencing, install or move fencing (7.8%) for their neighbors, or investigate the lines for investigation.
