Merritt Island, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida families discovered an unexpected visitor stopped by his home early Sunday morning.
Klerners told NBC affiliate WESH that their home surveillance video captured a raccoon family that scared the cat and caused chaos around 1am
“We started seeing all the raccoons and they were partying,” Richard Krener told Wesi. “There were some of them on the stairs right there. Some of the jacuzzis are just splattering. Three of the jacuzzis are splattering. We watched the nerves and other videos of the covered porch, and we saw them in and out of the house.”

Clenners said the raccoons came and went through a screened porch, ate cat food and turned the bowl of water over.
“They ate all the cat food that was out for our kitten and spilled a bowl throughout the dining room,” Krenner said.
His wife said she counted eight raccoons.
Krener said he was worried that raccoons could have rabies.
“I was thinking of wild raccoons, but they were in my house and you don’t know where they came from, where they came from. You had grandchildren in the house and we had grandchildren in the house,” he said.
Klerner said he called Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Authorities to report the raccoon. He said his neighbors also had problems with them.
