OCKEYCHOBEE, Fla. (WFLA) – Three people died Sunday after separate shootings in Okeechobee, which authorities say are linked.
According to NBC’s affiliate WPTV, the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the Brindavan forest community around 1:30pm
On the scene, deputies said they met a man wearing all black men and armed with something that looked like a rifle or a long gun.
Lawmakers told reporters that the suspects began firing gunfires at them, which led to the suspect’s death. Two of the suspect’s neighbors have also died, and authorities said they believe the deaths are linked.
WPTV reported that St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Bomb Force is also on the scene due to concerns that the explosive device could still be found in the area.
