TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A report released in July by the Florida Department of Agriculture revealed the number of injuries recorded at Florida theme parks this year.

WFLA.com looked at the report after 32-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala passed away after riding a Stardust Racer roller coaster in the epic universe of Universal Orlando Resort.

An Orange County Medical Inspector has determined that Zavala’s death was an accident. Authorities said he died of multiple blunt shock injuries.

The quarterly release of injuries reports showed Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World have reported 10 injuries this year.

Seaworld Orlando reported three injuries. Busch Gardens Tampa and Legoland Florida Resort did not report any injuries.

About a month after the opening of the epic universe, three incidents were reported in the park.

The document showed that two guests reported injuries after riding a Stardust Racer coaster.

On June 22, the report showed that a 63-year-old guest with an existing condition experienced dizziness after riding the attraction.

Another Stardust Racer incident was reported two days later when a 47-year-old guest with an existing condition experienced “visual impairment” or numbness.

The only other incident reported at this year’s Epic Universe was a 32-year-old guest who reported chest pain after riding Hiccup’s Wing Gliders attraction.
