“We’re going to see Doge coming. They’ll see our payments and what money they’ve lost,” said Janet Petro, acting NASA administrator.

Janet Petro, representative NASA manager, said on February 12 that government efficiency (DOGE) investigated space agency spending, with hundreds of employees already offering to buy Trump administration workers. He said he added that he was accepting it.

Petro, who previously served as director of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, commented to a reporter at the Space Industry Conference in Washington.

“We’re going to see Doge coming. They see (similarly) what we’ve done at other institutions with our payments and money gone,” Peter said.

She said hundreds of agency employees have accepted postponed offers to retire.

As of February 13, around 75,000 federal workers had accepted the Trump administration’s acquisition offer, senior administration officials told the Epoch Times.
Doge has been moving rapidly since President Donald Trump’s January 20 inauguration and multiple federal agencies in data and IT systems.

On February 12th, the White House released five examples of federal contracts in which Doge staff ended.
Hours later, Trump said he would hold a “press conference” on February 13th to discuss additional investigations into “risky scams.”

Meanwhile, many Democrats have expressed concern.

They accused the Trump administration of Doge leader Elon Musk, dubbed “special government officials,” who gave him free access to the government system and the authority to cancel contracts, fire workers, or the entire agency. It’s.

Musk’s role as SpaceX owner and CEO is problematic for many Democrats. Especially when Doge Probes NASA shows Petro.

SpaceX’s contract with NASA is around $15 billion. This includes the company’s work to bring astronauts back and forth between the International Space Station and the Artemis program where SpaceX plans to send humans back to the moon on its spacecraft.

Trump vowed to allow Musk only to work at the White House’s discretion, and on February 12, the Caroline Leavbit news agency said that these five contracts will include Doge’s efforts to “transparency.” He emphasized that this is an example of “.

While talking to reporters, Petro was asked whether Musk’s main clumsy would present a conflict of interest with NASA.

“We have a very strict conflict of interest policy,” she said, adding that NASA law firms will screen Doge staff for potential conflicts.

A small number of administrative staff have begun reviewing NASA’s Science and Space Program. This accounts for around $24 billion a year, and Petro is busy carrying out many of Trump’s executive orders aimed at ending the government’s diversity program.

“Every official in charge is trying to wrap our heads around all the executive orders as they are flying to us,” Peter said.

The future of NASA’s Artemis program is uncertain as both Musk and Trump achieve their lofty goal of sending humans to Mars. The agency already says the first moon launch will help astronauts “learning how to live and work in another world as they prepare their human mission to Mars.”

However, Doge may consider the space launch system, which is the over-budget Moon Rocket of NASA, Space launch system, especially if SpaceX or its competitor Blue Origin, is successful in launching the moon.

Mark Tapscott and Reuters contributed to this report.
