(Nexstar) – When they set out for university, many young students begin to find their identity in terms of their political stance. Whether that stance is tilted left or right can be influenced by where these students choose to attend school.
Niche.com ranks the top colleges and universities in the country each year, and releases a list of “most conservative universities” in the United States.
To find this, current university students and recent graduates across the country reported their opinions on how they were politically leaning, and how other students at the school leaned in.
It was Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia that landed at the top of its list as the “most conservative” university.

According to Niche, Liberty has over 50,000 undergraduates and a 99% acceptance rate. The university says it believes it will “develop Christ-centered men and women with the values, knowledge and skills that will impact their world.”
The list was followed by Globe City College, found in Globe City, Pennsylvania, followed by Brigham Young University, Idaho, in Rexburg, Idaho.
