Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – The Margaritaville at Sea is expanding its fleet.
Florida-based cruise line announced on Wednesday it had purchased its third ship, the Costa Fortuna. The ship is currently operated by Costa Cruises. Costa will continue to drive the boat until late next year.
Upon renovation, the cruise ship will become the largest ship in the Margaritaville, a sea fleet. The ship weighs over 102,500 tons and accommodates approximately 3,450 passengers.

The ship features three passenger decks, vast outdoor spaces and an eight-storey center atrium.

Christopher Ivy, chief executive of the Margaritaville at Sea, said the new ship will sail from the new home port in 2026.
“Margaritaville at Sea has been on an exceptional trajectory since its launch just a few years ago. We are excited to expand our brand’s experiences on the water again and share the distinctive experiences and amenities of our cruise line with more guests.”
The Margarita Building at Sea is currently sailing from Port Tampa Bay and Palm Beach Port.
