Osteen, Fla. (WFLA) – A man accused of abusing her by breaking into his girlfriend’s home and abuse her after K-9 found him hiding in an empty house under construction.
On April 2, 22-year-old Omar Elseido threatened her girlfriend over the phone and said she would beat her and take her life, according to the Volsia Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Mike Chitwood said Elseid broke through the victim’s bedroom window, punched her into her head and grabbed her with her throat.
The woman was able to free herself from Elseid and grab a machete in self-defense. Elseid leapt out of the window and ran away from the house.

Elsayed was arrested on charges of attack or robbery with domestic batteries by strangulation, escape, and trespassing among other charges.
“Let’s make this another reminder for all victims and survivors of domestic violence,” Sheriff Chitwood said. “The relationship is over when he put his hands on you and abused you. Leave him behind.”
