PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida charter captain, in the heart of viral video, has been arrested and placed in jail on charges of robbery, Punta GORDA police said Friday night.
Police interviewed several people involved or present at the time of the April 1 incident and said they were able to establish a possible cause for criminal charges against Brock Horner, 40.

In a video that is widely shared across the internet, Horner can be seen screaming at Fisherman Gauge Tows before climbing the boat.
Investigators said the situation escalated to a criminal offence when Horner threatened Towles and “illegally boarded” the boat.
The charges against Horner fall under Florida Act 810.02(2)(a).
He was arrested and remained in custody at the Charlotte County Jail as of Friday night.
“This type of behavior is not tolerated in our waterways or elsewhere in our city,” said Punta Gouda Police Chief Pam Smith. “We are committed to ensuring the safety of our residents and visitors, both on land and on water.”
Secretary Smith will hold a press conference at 8am on April 5th to discuss the incident further.
In addition to the police department’s investigation, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard are conducting separate investigations due to the location and nature of the incident.
