According to authorities, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers have been welcomed as a hero after rescuing a pilot just before the CRASH dropped near US 101 and was wrapped in flames.

Both pilots and passengers were transported to Santa Bar Cottage Hospital for treatment.
CHP also thanked the civilians who supported the rescue.
