FORT MYERS, Fla. (WFLA) – A Fort Myers man was arrested Friday.
Just after 9pm, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disability at his home in the 2000 block of Goltan Avenue in Fort Myers.

Investigators revealed that 39-year-old Weston Allen Gardner got caught up in an argument with someone inside the house, pointing a gun at them and threatening to shoot the victim and himself.
When deputies arrived they evacuated the remaining residents of the house as Gardner barricaded himself in the bedroom.
Despite several orders and attempts to drive Gardner out of the house, the suspect ignored the authorities until the Special Operations Force and Crisis Negotiation Team responded.
The video shows the moment Gardner was ordered to leave the house to the ground and arrested.

Inside the house, officials seized Glock 19 handguns, several rounds of ammunition and a holster.
Gardner was arrested and charged with possession of deadly weapons, a convicted felon, and aggravated assault with no violence and obstruction.
Gardner has a decades-long history with the law, including criminal traffic charges, peace violations and batteries (domestic violence), according to court records.
