Fort Myers Beach, Fla. (WFLA) – was accused of biting a man in the ear during a brawl on a beach in South Florida, according to a report by NBC affiliate WBBH.
On Monday, deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fight between Alba Drive and I at Fort Myers Beach near the intersection of the street.

Witnesses told authorities he heard 18-year-old Jack Turner scream racial slander at the victim before attacking him. WBBH reported that witnesses asked the victim if they would allow Turner to escape in an oral attack.
According to WBBH, the victim took a stance and sparked a physical argument with Turner. Videos filmed by witnesses reportedly showed Turner on top of the victim, where he punched the man behind his head, grabbed his hair and pressed his face into the sand.
That’s when Turner pulled the victim’s head and bite his ear, causing “traumatic auditory bone cutting,” the sheriff’s office report said.
Witnesses said they saw the man’s ears bitten as he rose from the ground, where bystander allegedly disbanded the battle.

A statement released by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, obtained by WBBH, stated:
“On March 17, 2025, detailed spring break lawmakers were actively patrol along Estero Boulevard when they were warned by victims of an isolated incident that just happened. Crime squads envisaged an investigation.
Sheriff Carmine Marceno has zero tolerance for all kinds of violence! Fort Myers Beach will continue to be safe for all Lee County visitors and residents! Additional agents will patrol Fort Myers Beach to ensure the safety and security of everyone! ”
Turner was arrested for a felony battery charge and taken to the Lee County Jail, according to WBBH.
