Sunrise, Fla. (AP) – There was bad blood in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers.
It’s not just on ice.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelse were among the celebrities who flocked to the Amerant Bank Arena on Thursday to watch Game 4 of the Finals.
And they were attending a thrilling game. Edmonton scored 5-4 in overtime from three goals in the first period, tying the series 2-2.
Kelse, the tight end who won the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl, is a hockey fan along with his older brother Jason Kelse. And since Swift and Kelce launched their high-profile romance in 2023, the 14-time Grammy-winning singer is known to take part in a major sporting event, including the last two Super Bowls, causing a fan-filled frenzy.
There was a time when the couple might attend the final ahead of Thursday’s match.
Prior to the game, a helicopter landed near Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida. The VIP entrance to this area was also closed, and the media elevators were not available for use for a period of time before the pre-match warmup began.
The pair appeared on television during the first period of the game.
Swift recently announced that she has regained control over her whole body of work. In a long note posted on her official website, Swift said all the music she has ever made belongs to her after purchasing her catalogue, originally released through a large machine record, from her latest owner, private equity company Shamrock Capital.
Over the past few years, Swift has restructured and released early albums in an attempt to regain control over her music.
Other celebrities present include defensive side Jason Taylor, a former Miami Dolphins star who hit the drums before the game, and hockey great Jalomire Jagule. Miami Heat Captain Bam Adebayo was joined by former Heat Captain Udonis Haslem on the drums on Monday.
