TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The Pups Pub community lamentes the loss of a veteran from Tampa.
Trevor Tackett worked as a defense contractor when the plane he was on crashed in the Philippines.
Tackett and three others were on a surveillance mission at the time. None of them survived.

Alex Wright recalls Tacket running through the walls of Tampa’s Pups Pubs, a business he and Trevor created together.
“We formed brotherly love while in the Air Force,” Wright said.
It was the same brotherly love that led Tackett to his ultimate mission.
Trevor is one of three defense contractors, and along with a US service member, died on February 6th when a plane crashed in the southern Philippines.
“People need to be aware of what he did and the story of the rest of his crew,” Wright said.
Here in Tampa, Tackett’s legacy lives on in every smile, every laugh and every wave of tails. From photos of bar-lined pics to stories shared by his friends, his influence goes far beyond his co-founder title.
“When he was home, sales were good,” Wright said. “More people came. He had it. He just had a lot of joy, positive attitude, so everyone felt it.”
On Saturday, February 22nd, friends and family gather at the pub’s pub to celebrate Trebertucket’s life and heritage. They have also received a donation of Tacket K9 for the Warriors in his honor.
