With your help we did it!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our readers, we have achieved our $175,000 funding target for the Tampa Bay Times. Over 900 readers and supporters contribute. Donations ranged from $5 to $50,000. The total so far, including checks still arriving, was $187,000 as of 2pm on Friday.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude from all of us at the Times for the record number of readers who contributed to our weekly “It’s Your Times” campaign.

If you are still thinking about contribution, we welcome it. Needs are greater than fundraising goals.

The money we receive will help pay 3 journalists in a newsroom of 80 people. Our fourth fundraiser runs until midnight on Sunday. We pledge to make effective use of every dollar to ensure that independent local journalism is endured and prospered.

thank you! ! !
