Two medical staff who claim to be doctors are pausing when the police and the hospital they work are investigated.
Two hospital workers at Bankstown Hospital in southwest Sydney appeared on a video of the boasts of killing them, stopping to think they would kill an Israeli patient with their care.
Police were also brought in to investigate the claim.
The male healthcare worker who claims to be a doctor is first seen on video, talking to Veifer and looks hilarious until he learns that Veifer is Israeli.
The self-proclaimed doctor first tells Veifer that he has beautiful eyes before he will be sorry when he dies.
A female medical staff then enters the screen and scorns the Israelites.
“It’s a Palestinian country, not your country, it’s a part of you (let),” she says.
“One day, your time will come, and you will die the most frightening death.
“When the time comes, I want you to remember my face so that you can understand that you will die the most disgusting death.”
When Veifer asks them what will happen if Israel needs medical treatment in hospitals, the two respond in a shocking statement.
“I won’t treat them, I’ll kill them,” the woman says.
The man then makes another surprising claim.
“How many Israelis came to this hospital, I sent them to Jahannam (the Islamic term of hell), I literally sent them to Jahannam,” he says.
Staff, hospital under investigation
New South Wales (NSW) Health Minister Ryan Park described the comment as “demean, dehumanized and unacceptable” and said he would never work again in a state hospital.
An echo of confirmation from Prime Minister Chris Minns, Park said the incident is under full investigation.
“We asked NSW Health to launch an emergency investigation to identify individuals. They introduced the issue to NSW police,” he said.
“Our hospitals and healthcare systems have no place for this kind of view that has been done so far. Our society has no place for this kind of perspective.”
NSW Health Secretary Susan Pierce never thought in her biggest dreams she was talking about her staff saying “that horrible things about our community.” I said that.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese described the video as disgusting and mean.
“The footage is disgusting and embarrassing,” he wrote to X.
“These anti-Semitic comments, which are attributed to hatred, have no place in our healthcare system and nowhere in Australia.”
He supported the move to refer the case to police for criminal investigations.
“Individuals who are found to have committed criminal anti-Semitism will face the full power of our law,” Albanese said.
Anti-Semitism concerns have risen
Deputy Israeli Minister Sharren Haskell also commented on the incident.
“These two Australian health professionals who say they’re going to kill Israeli patients need immediate investigations and suggest they already have one,” she said.
“They are expressing their intentions to criminalize against the Jews. This must be stopped.”
Haskel mentioned Australia’s current poor track record on anti-Semitism.
“Anti-Semitism is a disease that is becoming more common in Australia,” she said.
“This action must be treated with the highest outcome under the law, and at least they should be fired.
“They talked about killing Jews. They show true racism and hate what the Australian Jewish community is enduring now.”
Bankstown Hospital will also be reviewed after the incident.
In a statement, the NSW Jewish Committee expressed concern.
“The rhetoric filmed in this video is deplorable and there is no place in our health care system,” the statement said.
“Everyone feels comfortable spitting this hatred while wearing NSW brand scrubs.”
Robert Gregory, CEO of the Australian Jewish Association, also said the video was “sick.”
“The Australian Jewish Association is calling for an immediate termination of employment for healthcare workers who are threatening to kill Jewish patients and criminal charges when necessary,” he said.
“The fact that anti-Semitism is appearing in more and more places is a sad accusation of the current situation in Australia.
He noted that it was the first anti-Semitic incident involving healthcare workers.
“We have seen doctors politicize their work by adding their names to anti-Israel politics introduced in hospitals and anti-Israel petitions of outrageous hatred. Healthcare workers. There is a need for investigation into anti-Israel and anti-Semitistic activities among those,” he said.
The hate law has been strengthened
The footage comes a day after NSW Prime Minister Chris Mins issued a Congressional statement on anti-Semitism and introduced new laws to combat it.
Mins referenced the recent anti-Semitist attacks in NSW. This has set fire to childcare centres and tainted synagogues with swastika, arson and anti-Semitic slogans that were painted in many places.

New NSW laws make it a crime to display Nazi symbols near synagogues and to make them worse by spraying graffiti on places of worship.
Laws are also introduced to stop others from harassing or intimidating them based on their recognition of their religion.
The NSW government has also increased funding for the hate crime unit.
“There are too many public acts of anti-Semitism,” Mins said in a statement.
“A summer of gentle hatred is clearly unbearable.”
The NSW operation shelter was targeted before the anti-Semitism incident occurred, arresting 173 people on more than 460 suspects, but a detective from Strike Force Pal, founded to fight anti-Semitism. The number has doubled.
