Karolina Kurkova and her husband Archie Drury deal with some nasty first world issues.
The former Victoria Secret Angel and her real estate broker husband filed a lawsuit against the ultra-luxury Fisher Island Club in Miami Beach after she unleashed her boots in January.
Fisher Island is only accessible by boat, ferry and helicopter. This is one of the most expensive postal codes in the United States (33109). Essentially the epicenter of all social activities, the island’s country club is the “IT” location for property owners and has amenities such as a private beach, tennis centre, nine-hole golf course, aviary, restaurants and wellness spas.
The Czech model and former actor bought a four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home on a 216-acre island for $1.3 million in 2018. Their gorgeous 3,025-square-foot pads are currently on the market for $6.9 million. They also own five other housing units there, according to the couple’s lawyer Jennifer Altman.
The three parents have begun to have country club problems, according to a lawsuit filed last month in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court.
In November 2023, Drury was initially suspended for six months after he left the garage on a range of rovers that he was not him. The businessman claims he entered the car “carelessly.” The six-page report belonged to Caroline Wozniacki. A fellow neighbour and club member Tennis Pro reportedly refused the charge and admitted it was a mistake.
Drury did not leave despite being forbidden from Tony’s facility. On Christmas Eve, he was attacked on a suspension for another six months about a month after picking up meals for the toddler from the club’s eatery Lattratria.
“Beyond the awful outline of the powers of the Club Committee and the club’s officers, it certainly did not constitute a significant violation, nor did there be any recall of food “that would risk the club’s welfare, safety, harmony or reputation,” the legal document states. “We will also not collect food for our daughter — anyone who has the right to use all the club’s amenities — is a violation of the suspension.”
The pair, who has attracted attention with huge complaints that their outcasts were “retaliatory” since they previously founded their own company with Douglas Elliman, claims they started his own company in December 2022. The complaints allegedly had a “conflict of interest” surrounding a potential real estate transaction on the luxury island with a club’s board member working for Douglas Elliman.
Kurkova and Drury, who travelled from the island and now live in Coral Gables, are demanding a trial trial and seeking unspecified damages.
“Karolina Kurkova and Archie Drury are targeted by “intentionally” organized campaigns that undermine reputation and business interests,” model rep Melanie A. Bonvicino told “both both on Fisher Island and off.”

In a lengthy statement to the Miami Herald, the club has shot down the allegations of a former member “dissatisfied” as “baseless.”
“The Fisher Island Club looks forward to in detail defending each case challenged in court applications, where necessary,” the emailed statement said. “This record shows that the plaintiff received multiple notices and opportunities to be heard by the appropriate club committee and board of directors, and subsequently expelled the plaintiff from the club on the basis of “frauding the club and circumventing its rules (and taking away the fees).” โ
And the accusations that certain board members have used their impact on personal or corporate interests are “patently false, unjust and nothing more than scandalmonger.”
After careful review and “all internal processes followed,” the couple were exiled. “Decisions rooted in the club’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of those who belong to this private institution” have been expelled.
The couple’s lawyer, Altman, also issued a statement.
“The lawsuit relates to the truth, transparency and rights of all Fisher Island Club members. As alleged in the complaint, the board abused its power, violating Florida law and its own administrative documents, and disrupts its power while gaslighting on millions of members and members investing in annual membership fees. She wrote the Miami Herald in an email Monday. “The complaint details a serious conflict of interest, with the director using his position to benefit himself and explains Douglas Elliman. The club may try to downplay or dismiss these claims, but the documents confirm that they are not. The plaintiffs look forward to accountability in court.”
We contacted Elliman for comment on the lawsuit, but did not respond immediately.
