Cape Canaveral, Fla. (WFLA) – SpaceX will try again Friday to send four astronauts to the International Space Station after Thursday’s launch attempt was cancelled due to weather.

Two NASA astronauts – Zena Cardman and Michael E. Fincke – Join Japanese astronaut Kimiayui and Russian astronaut Oleg Platonov for the Crew 11 mission.

SpaceX is targeting the launch at 11:43am at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. The Falcon 9 rocket carries the dragon capsule into space. The dragon leaves the rocket and proceeds to the ISS.

“During time in the Orbital Supervisory Office, crews will prepare for human exploration beyond low Earth orbit and conduct new research to benefit humanity on Earth,” SpaceX said of the mission.

This is the human space flight mission in the 11th work of the Dragon. After separating from the dragon, the rocket returns to Earth and lands at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

If Friday launch is cancelled, SpaceX will try again at 11:21am on Saturday
