PALM BAY, Fla. (WFLA) – Palm Bay police say they discovered six children were locked in their bedrooms and lived in feces and urine while visiting a local home Tuesday.
According to the arrest affidavit, the officer was called to a home on southeast Dillard Drive to assist the children and family department.

When he stepped inside, officers said he discovered he lived in “a severely worsening condition.” A large section of the drywall was torn off the wall, exposing electrical wiring, and feces and urine are “visible” throughout the house, police said.
“The atmosphere inside the house is overwhelming, with a strong smell of cat urine, human urine and feces making it difficult to breathe,” the affidavit said.
While there, police said they found two adults at their home. Nathan Folkcik, 42, and Laura Folkcik, 41, had six children locked in separate bedrooms. The child’s age was not released.
According to arrest reports, each bedroom only contained a child-sized toilet training toilet. The children had no access to food, water or toilet facilities and had no way of washing or cleaning themselves, investigators said.
“The children lived in unsafe, unsanitary and health-related conditions,” police wrote in the report.
Nathan Folkc and Laura Folkc were arrested and charged with six counts of child negligence. Authorities said both were booked at the Brevard County Jail.
