Bad economics
How does Trump affect Florida? | January 19th
You’ve missed an important point in how President Donald Trump affects Florida. If Trump and his believers significantly reduce or kill social security and medical care, they will destroy Florida’s economy. A huge number of floridans are retired seniors to live and maintain their health, relying on social security and medical care.
Without the money in our economy, Florida will collapse. The elderly live in a homeless shelter or are hungry on the street. Senior living facilities are bankrupt and closed and do thousands of work. All auxiliary businesses and services that depend on the elderly business will suffer or collapse without that business.
The money that each of us invests in the funds of social security and med care trasts is stolen by salary tax deducted from all salaries of our working life. The benefits we have acquired are stolen from us. Social security and Medicare are not qualified. They are as reliable as the dividends of people in the stock market and bond markets.

Special session
Desantis faces the rare stand off | January 24
Dear Desantis,
Thank you for illegally supporting the president’s campaign for immigration here and led Florida, who called a special session to deal with this important problem. After all, we know that many of these individuals are criminals. Donald Trump has told us many times, so it must be the truth. We need to return these people to where they came, at least where their grandparents came. This is much more important than picking fruits and vegetables and replacing the roof. We can always buy vegetables from those countries on the other side of the American Bay. This will increase the opportunity to impose tariffs. It is Win-Win.
American farmers can always advertise “choose their own fruits.” In the family’s pleasure era, bend in the hot sun and pick up blueberries and strawberries. As Republican members have managed the parliament, you should reach the forefront of the line and ask for these annoying hurricanes to control somewhere else in the next few years. After all, if we have removed all the workers that are not documented, we need to clean and rebuild the damaged house.
Oh, and please call another special session about your home insurance. I hate to be a crying insect, but my insurance estimates have increased by 30 % this year.

MAGA BULLY
Florida Immigration Test begins | January 23
I read a recent article about Governor Ron Desantis and read that it is seeking a special legislative meeting to illegally investigate the national individual and promote the policy of detention. His continuous demands against the Florida Congress not only contribute to the rule of the law, but also ignores the reality that immigration execution is the federal liability, but also acts outside their jurisdiction. Desantis seems to be intended to behave as if it could overturn a specific political base, that is, the authority of President Donald Trump’s authority. His action is an irresponsible exercise of political and bullying state officials and impairs the appropriate role of the Federal Law Enforcement Organization.

Instead of focusing on what is really important for the Floridans, he chose to change Florida into a president’s ambition. Remember that the parliament once had a ultra -controlled immigration bill designed to reasonably deal with these issues before Trump’s influence derails meaningful progress.
Our state authorities have long ignored the noise from the right -wing fringe and returned to the law based on a law letter, not the latest parties. Desantis should be responsible for these divisions and unconstitutional policies and reminds you whether the constitution is still important.

Required reform
Does Hills Boro want more government secrets? | Column, January 23rd
TAMPA BAY TIMES Deceive COL I would like to deal with concerns by members who read this column. This is not to reduce transparency, but to improve the functions of the decision -making process of Commissioners and specific committees. Public trust is the priority and mechanism for maintaining accountability.
Discussions based on the current Sunshine method in Florida may hinder effective communication, especially confidential information, and committees on trafficking and selling.
As a dedicated civil servant, I value transparency, accountability, and general trust in government management. Florida’s sunshine law has helped to ensure openness and prevent corruption. However, in a specific situation, it is necessary to have a thoughtful update to maintain the perfection of public processes and to improve efficiency and efficacy. There are delicate problems, such as fighting with personal trafficking and improving collaboration between committee members.
The Sunshine Law restricts unofficial discussions between commissioners and often reduce the time you can use to develop a balanced solution. I believe that being able to engage in more thorough and productive discussions for important issues other than official public conferences is not to approve fraud, waste, and public corruption. Masu.
The ability to discuss strategies is very important in committees, such as the Training Committee, which I serve. Human traders actively monitor their efforts to prevent trafficking, and public debates are inadvertently exposed our plans and risk their effectiveness. A limited personal discussion can protect confidential information while supporting the mission of protecting the most vulnerable people. Again, I do not claim secrets or general monitoring.
We should promise to maintain the trust of the people while dealing with the actual tasks facing the Commissioner and the Board of Directors. The law does not allow fraud, waste, or corruption, but is trying to improve the government’s functions to provide better services for members of the Hills Rollow County and all Floridans.
The state parliament can be involved in stakeholders, including public or government’s transparent experts, improves the sunshine law, and guarantees that we value the value we value.
By updating the Sunshine Law in a way, you can balance transparency, efficiency, and security, and the boards and committees can work more effectively for the people of Florida.

Accountability
January 6 actors respond to pardon | January 26
When Donald Trump was charged with multiple federal accusations, he and his supporters argued that they were indicators that they had entrusted to the Banana Republic.
Trying people to be accountable (especially strong people) is the opposite of what happens in the Banana Republic. Opening a prison door to release a violent criminal, a supporter of the powerful person, is a much better example of what will happen in the Banana Republic.
Needless to say, the Republican Party can claim a moral highland when it is, of course, the party of law and order.
These days are behind us.

Illegal is illegal
Florida immigrants are facing new fear | January 26
The woman quoted in the story is illegally here. She is illegally hired by the people who hire her to clean the house. She may be driving illegally without a driver’s license. Do you have insurance for the car you drive? If so, how did you get insurance? What happens if she kills someone while driving? Illegal is illegal. Don’t sneak into this country. If you want to be in the United States, do it in the right way.

It’s been a long time
Florida Council members ignore Desantis | January 28
It was when the representative of Talahasie confronted Governor Ron Desantis. The Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or independently, they were elected to govern, bring profits to our state, and to pass laws that do not develop the governor’s ego. Sadly, it took six years to see the true reasons for the parliament and we elected them as a job.
Now that our governor has become an inconvenient duck, if it goes well, the law to pass is passed, and it is possible to make a profit to Florida citizens and companies. Inspire the other 49 states and the Congress of Washington. Let’s show them how it should be done.

How tariffs affect the United States | January 24
President Donald Trump seems to want to protect the US industry while attacking foreign producers. Sadly, the recent Chinese Deepseek AI app proves that others can underestimate and underestimate the current “state -of -the -art” products in the United States, and are still paid despite the US tariffs. I am.
Customs duties do not “make the United States great again”. Otherwise, like many people, if the United States is already wonderful, it will maintain its greatness in the future. The powerful, deep, and continuous government investment and support for product research and development are the only long -term answer to US innovation.

Expans the river
Reasons why the tumper expands the riverwalk | January 26
John Hill’s recent column, which praised the expansion of reversalwalk to West Tampa, was perfect for the target. I would like to add it to his commentary according to the comments made during the meeting of the Community Redevelopment Agency where the voting was held.
Some call the expansion of riverwalks the “vanity” project. Working, education, culture, entertainment activities, and safely connecting people to other neighborhoods are important needs in dense urban areas in addition to providing many necessary transportation and recreational opportunities. Significantly increase the quality of personal life. These are not elements of the vanity project.
On the contrary, this is not a tourist -only project, but many are attracted to it. For many years, thousands of new inhabitants have lived in the west station next to Riverwalk, and those who have long been called their hometown have lived. This is a very desirable amenity that is useful for West Tampa and our cities because the park space is limited and access to the river.
I’ve heard about the need for more affordable housing, improving rainwater, and the need for street pavement, which is used to provide funds for the redevelopment agency of the West Tampa Community and other information to deal with other information. These needs are always with us, and it’s not a reason not to undertake a large -scale, foresight project that helps our cities wonderful. West Riverwalk expansion promotes redevelopment in an important historic main street commercial area that increases funds and makes wise investments.

Solomon’s wisdom
Trump wants American Bay, not Mexico Bay | January 24
What is Solomon about President Donald Trump’s proposal to rename Mexico to the Bay? I think the two names are more appropriate, based on which country is adjacent to the bay. Therefore, Mexico has maintained the water as named after the last few centuries, and the United States can change that part as Trump suggests. But because of the low language, I prefer to call it a bay. Supplement To reduce the price of eggs and my food invoice, it is really not useful.
