ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida beach fans are recovering at the hospital after a driver ran head and body on Saturday.

Coulson Janey, 33, of Ocala, was lying towards the beach when the Jeep driver left the travel lane to return to the parking lot.

The Jeep ran across his head, causing injury to his thighs and arms, according to the Borussia County Sheriff’s Office.

“I was just screaming,” Jenny told NBC affiliate Wesh. “Of course, I feel so painful that I scream my head and bloody murder.”

His injuries included a wound in his eyes, bruises on his face, a broken forearm and a broken femur. Janey’s aunt said she got to the hospital after getting into the disordered ambulance.

“That EMS vehicle was stuck in the sand reaching my nephew many times,” Rhonda Storms told Wesi. “And that’s what the sprint stabilization unit broke after they put him in that EMS vehicle.”

The 61-year-old woman who attacked Janey was quoted for driving.

“The second thing that shocked me was that she was only charged with careless driving, not reckless driving,” Storms told Wesh.

Volusia’s representative said the driver showed no signs of a disability. The incident is under investigation.
