(News Nation) – Ryan Rouse, the suspect in the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump in September 2024, demanded a new defense team for his case.
“Ryan Rouse respectfully requests that the court set up a hearing to terminate the appointed lawyers and representatives of their office,” his allegations partially stated.
Rous was accused of eating up Trump for 12 hours on a golf course in Florida, and wrote about his desire to kill him. Investigators revealed that Trump pointed his rifle towards the tree line of the golf course where he was staying.

Prosecutors said Rous confirmed the plan in a letter that he stopped by the house of an unknown witness several months before the assassination attempt. Witnesses did not open the box until after Rous’ arrest.
Court documents also revealed that the box also contained ammunition, metal pipes, “other building materials,” tools, four phones and various letters.
Routh pleaded not guilty to all charges in October 2024.
Later, in December, Florida filed a charge of attempted felony murder against Rouse in connection with a traffic accident that occurred while fleeing police, Hill reported.
Attorney General of Florida Ashley Moody said at the time that when Louth fled the scene, law enforcement shut down traffic, causing an accident that nearly killed a young girl.
“The result was that we were forced to seek justice on her behalf.
Then, in April, Florida Attorney General James Usmier said he indicted Ruth for attempting first-degree murder and terrorism by attempting to assassinate Trump.
