Royal Caribbean Legend of the Seas details revealed

As Royal Caribbean’s newest floating behemoth prepares to enter service next year, the company has announced a variety of dining experiences and main stage shows that cruise passengers can enjoy while sailing Legend of the Seas.

The company’s third Icon class ship, arriving in Fort Lauderdale next November, will feature 28 dining options. This is a tally larger than a number of its legendary sister ships, both Icon and Star. Highlights include a Hollywoodland supper club and an immersive railroad-themed dining experience.

Guests can also enjoy the Broadway hit Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory while sailing on the new megaship.

“With Legend of the Seas, we continue to push the envelope with more of what our guests know and love, so we still have the most legendary vacations,” Michael Bayley, Royal Caribbean president and CEO, said in a news release.

Hollywoodland’s Supper Club is an intimate dining venue inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Age, featuring “sultry jazz,” gourmet bites, and cocktails. The multi-course meal takes diners on a cinematic journey from 1910 to the 1950s. Variations on this concept can be found as the Empire Supper Club on the Icon and as the Lincoln Park Supper Club on the Star.

Royal Railway – Legend Station is similar to the immersive dining concept introduced at the Royal’s Utopia of the Seas. Diners can travel along the ancient Silk Route by train, following the travels of Explorer Marco Polo, in an experience that combines entertainment and technology with a five-course meal.

Cruise passengers familiar with Royal’s other Icon class ships will find recognizable repeats in the dining lineup, including Aquadome Market, Surfside Eatery, Basecamp, Chops Grille, Izumi, and Hooked Seafood. Fan-favorite bars featured on Legend of the Seas include Jazz Club Lou, the popular Dueling Piano Bar, and the Swim & Tonic Swim Up Bar.

In the entertainment lineup, guests can watch an ice skating show at Absolute Zero, or high divers, aerialists, and dancers can put on a show in the aquachair.

Around the ship, other Icon class staples feature prominently on Legend, including a Category 6 water park, Crown’s Edge skywalk and zipline, mini golf, Flowrider surf simulator, and Adrenaline Peak rock climbing wall. The array of pools is also similar to the other two Icon class ships, including a hideaway infinity pool for adults only, a splashaway bay for kids, and a large Royal Bay pool.

After her Mediterranean debut next summer, Legend will arrive in Fort Lauderdale in November 2026, sailing six-night Western Caribbean and eight-night Caribbean itineraries. Many sailings include a visit to Royal Caribbean’s Cococay for a perfect day.

Last month, Legend of the Seas got its first taste of water during a float-out ceremony at the Mayer Turku shipyard in Finland. Immediately next door, the company has begun construction on Royal’s fourth Icon class ship, which has yet to be named.

According to Cruise Critics, the cruise line has plans for a fifth Icon class ship to be born, with delivery scheduled for 2028. In addition to the three Icon class ships confirmed, Royal Caribbean has the option to build a sixth and seventh ship in the class if it chooses to do so. Meanwhile, the company has confirmed its seventh Oasis-class ship in development.
