The Tampa Bay Times and the Miami Herald report that Tallahassee prosecutors are convening a large ju judge, and have already been issued for eyewitnesses to appear.

Following their initial report, the GOP-led Florida home has begun an investigation. Republican Rep. Alex Andrade led the committee’s investigation into the handling of $10 million donations from the Hope Florida Foundation, the fundraiser for Hope Florida Welfare Charities led by Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis.
“Everyone involved in this regard realizes that this is a real problem and if this happened in other contexts, people will already be researched,” Andredo said.
In May, Andrade handed over all the necessary information to the prosecutor.
State Democratic Rep. Anna Eskamani supports prosecutors who work to answer questions about donations.
“This is extremely promising for actual accountability here,” Eskamani said.
Eskamani added that the state capitol investigations can only be made to date.
“The heart of this investigation comes from a Medicaid settlement,” Escamani said.
The House of Representatives said $10 million from the Medicaid settlement led to two nonprofits from Florida. Lawmakers then followed these funds to the Political Action Committee opposed the legalization of recreational marijuana. It was now led by Florida Attorney General James Usmierer. He was also the governor’s chief of staff at the time. He has previously defended money trails questioned by lawmakers.
“If some of these organizations were already in the fight against dangerous constitutional reforms that allowed recreational marijuana to be sued anywhere, that’s fine either,” Usmeer said.
The governor’s office, the state attorney general’s office, and the state attorney in Tallahassee did not respond to requests for comment.
