ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida lawmakers are investigating allegedly assaulting a 27-year-old woman, police say reports from the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C.

US Rep. Cory Mills, a Republican who represents Florida’s 7th Congressional District, is accused of grabbing and shoving a woman in a luxurious Wharf area apartment Wednesday afternoon.

When an officer spoke to the woman, they reported seeing a bruise on her arm so that it “looks fresh.” That’s just one police report obtained by the NBC Owner Station in Washington, DC.

According to News 4, reporters have obtained multiple copies of the police report, each giving different levels of detail about what happened inside the luxury apartment building.

According to the first report, the woman told the officers “more than a year her important others grabbed her, shoved her in and pushed her out the door.” While police were with the woman, Mills called, and police wrote, “I will tell Mills (Mills) that officers will tell her to lie about the origin of her bruises.”

The report described her attitude as “physically trembling and scared.”

Police said that the corresponding officer would be arrested by Mills, but the woman would then engrave all details, including the origin of her bruises.

The second version of the police report obtained by News 4 after the incident states that officers responded to the family’s disability and there was no possible cause for arrest.

When News 4 contacted police for comments, they provided a third version of the report that officers responded to the possibility of an attack and said it was being investigated, and that the department had changed I did.

While DC police were investigating the initial incident, according to MPD’s policy, “make sure all members make sure they’ve done what they should,” DC Muriel Bowser told News 4. .

According to DC police, the internal investigation focused on why officials didn’t arrest them and why the situation was reclassified as a family disability.

Mills is just sworn in his second term, in office, and is an Army veteran. Online BIOS shows he is married and has two children. His office provided the following statement to NBC:

“This week, law enforcement agencies were asked to resolve private issues at Rep. Mills, who has vehemently denied any misconduct, and every investigation quickly cleared the issue. I’m sure.”
