LAKELAND, Fla. (WFLA) — Publix has announced a recall for one lot of ice cream that was distributed to various stores in six states, according to a release Wednesday.
The supermarket chain announced that the recall applies to many Publix Rich & Creamy Vanilla Ice Creams (UPC 41415 03043). The ice cream reportedly contained an undeclared egg allergen.

The half-gallon ice cream container has a sell-by date of June 19, 2026 and may also come with a mismatched French vanilla ice cream container lid.
People with egg allergies can become seriously ill if they eat ice cream.
“As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially affected products have been removed from all store shelves,” said Maria Braus, Publix communications director. “To date, there have been no reports of illness. Consumers who purchased the product in question may return the product to their local store for a full refund. The ice cream was sent to stores in Florida, but Publix stores in Tampa, Tallahassee, Sarasota and Jacksonville were not included in the recall.
