RUSKIN, Fla. (WFLA) – A series of free school clinics took place in Hillsboro County on Saturday.
This event is a chance for school children to get the medical care they need.
The clinic is held by Project Link and is for student k-12.
During the appointment, students will be able to get all the shots, vaccines and school physics they need before the end of summer.
Organizers said children need to be up to date with things like measles outbreaks.
All of these events are for families without insurance.
“Well, this is especially important because a lot of families lost their health insurance this year. There are a few issues with Medicaid. So we usually see families going to doctors, but it’s not covered now.”
Parents must register their child in the time slot before they come to the clinic. Project Links will hold seven of these health clinics during the summer. Click here to register.
