Polk County, Fla. (WFLA) – Bonnet Springs Park was named “Best City Park” on USA Today in 2025. This is a national perception voted by the community, according to a press release.

Bonnet Springs Park is 168 acres and has been open for just two years. It is located between downtown Lakeland and the Lake Bonnet.

“From the start, we set out to create a place that brings people together and reflects the heart of our community. It’s testament to those who dream of it, donate it and continue to support it every day.” “We have the best guests and they call us the best parks. We’re excited to be recognized as the best city park of 2025,” he said.

The park features a mix of nature, art, learning and play, including the Crenshaw Canopy Walk, the Florida Children’s Museum, the Hallel Family Botanical Gardens, trails and boardwalks.

Since opening in 2022, the park has welcomed around 1 million visitors each year. The community has free events all year round. Previous celebrations include Bienvenido, Caribbean Carnival and Light Up BSP.

Bonnet Springs Park is a nonprofit organization with a mission to enrich our communities through nature, culture, recreation and education.
