A South Florida Democrat known as one of Congress’s dullest speakers, recently criticised his party’s flawed strategy.
“The Democrats have to straighten one thing, we need to win,” Rep. Jared Moskowitz said.
A South Florida Democrat told Shannon Breem on Fox News that the progressive Democrats needed if Democrats want to reclaim their US home in 2026 will win in the swing district.
“You’re taking some heat from the party’s more progressive wings, and you’re, like many of your parties, caught up in the middle of the old and new security guards, the Progressive Wings. Do you feel the party has combined about who is leading it, and how to move forward?
“I’m medium. I’m not progressive. I need to win. This purity thing we want to experience, if we want to remain a minority, that’s great.
Over the past few months, two separate polls from CNN and NBC have shown that Democrats have a low approval rate of around 27-29%.

“We’ve got Democrats in Trump’s seat, and we can’t make progress there,” the lawmaker said.
Republicans believe they have the opportunity to beat Moskowitz in the middle of 2026. The GOP notes that the last two races Moskowitz won are much closer than analysts predicted. Some experts have suggested that Moscowitz could run for governor of Florida, and Moscowitz told Politico that he has not ruled out that option.
The 23rd Congressional District, which he represents, ranging from Fort Lauderdale to the southern tip of Palm Beach County, has shown signs of leaning towards red more in recent elections.
More recently, Americans for Prosperity held a rally in the 23rd Congressional District of Congress to encourage them to vote to extend Trump’s tax cuts.
Moskowitz tells Fox News he is more moderate, but the conservative Heritage Foundation council scorecard says he has a 6% rating.
But the left-wing group progressive punch gives lawmakers a D on liberal issues.
