A new study by the US News and World Report shows that government agencies and private sector industries are getting sourer.
The poll examined four groups: health, education, business and public services.
government
Political authorities received the worst review figures.
85% of those voted said government officials and other community leaders were more interested in their well-being than the people they represent. 56% can hardly say anything that is favorable. Only 31% said they trusted in elected officials, while 75% said they were too powerful. 87% said the country’s public services are facing a leadership crisis.
President and Congress
There was confidence in the Trump administration, and only 47% of Republicans in Congress were confident.
The Democrats were slightly better at 52%.
If voters don’t trust politicians much, they have less trust in social media influencers. Only 29% of respondents say they are somewhat reliable in the leadership crisis in public services, outperforming healthcare, education and business rates.
Distrust in the private sector

73% said they were disappointed with healthcare leaders, 72% said they were disappointed with business leaders, and 68% said they were disappointed with education leaders.
When it comes to trust and integrity in the business world, 82% say the values held by business leaders today are not in line with the values of everyday Americans.
The majority also said there was a leadership crisis in the healthcare industry. 77% said the current climate of medical leaders shows they care more about their power and influence than the best for the people they represent.
Most reliable
Community, military, nonprofit, and education leaders are among those listed as the most reliable, with 76-80% of respondents calling it extremely reliable.
The poll was conducted April 14-17 and reflects a nationally representative sample of 1,500 US adults.
