A recent Rasmussen report revealed that 43% of US voters believe the country is heading in the right direction, but a small majority (51%) have revealed they are on the wrong track. The percentage of voters expressing pessimism increased by 1 percentage point compared to the previous week.
The latest numbers represent a noticeable change from a year ago. This means that only 30% of voters say the country is heading in the right direction, and 64% believe it is off course.
The survey conducted between April 6th and 10th, 2025 voted for 1,811 voters nationwide via telephone and online method. The margin for sampling error is ±2% points, with a confidence level of 95%.
