HOMESTED, Fla. (WFLA) — Police are looking for three armed men who say they detained a jeweler and his family at a muzzle during an invasion of their home on Wednesday.

According to WTVJ, the incident occurred off the coast of 284th Avenue, southwest, around 11pm.

Deputies said the owner of York Jewelry in Hialea, York Valdes, was outside the residence when the robber hugged him at the muzzle and brought him back to the house.

The robber then plundered the house and stole valuables and a white Cadillac SUV before fleeing.

Valdez told deputies that one of the robbers tried to force him to take them to a jewelry store and steal more items.

Deputies said the jewelry store owner had never brought home an expensive watch because he left it in a store that was usually trapped in a safe box.

Deputies said Valdez could jump from the second floor and run for help.

The incident is still under investigation.
