Recent cold slaps in Florida can be one of the occurrence of dozens of influenza in the whole state, including Pineru County.
Samples of more than 20,000 patients tested at the Institute returned to the flu in the third week of January, but according to the influenza monitoring data reported by hospitals and clinics to the Ministry of Florida Health. More than twice the positive number in November was positive.
Most of the occurrence was located in the pancreas and northeastern Florida, but reports were also identified in Pinus. Most of the cases are influenza A H3 shares.
Tampa Bay Hospital also reports an increase in flu.
Approximately 23 % of patients who tested influenza in January at Orlando Health Bay Front Hospital in St. Petersburg were positive to viruses compared to 9 % in December.
At the Johns Hopkins All Pediatric Hospital, doctors have treated influenza children to about 450 children this month. The positive rate of children tested about viruses has increased to 30 %, almost twice the ratio in December. Most are checked and sent to the house.
More than 10 % usually means the active influenza season, Dr. Juan Dumois, a doctor of all children’s pediatric infections. He called the January case “small vigilance.”
“We’ve seen the number of positive children in the last few weeks dramatically increasing,” he said. “I haven’t reached the peak yet, so I don’t know how bad I can do.”
The number of patients hospitalized for influenza at Tampa Bay Care Hospital has increased from 68 to 123 in December this month. Almost half of the cases were in Pineras.
“Especially in Pinus County, it is important that the community continues to be vigilant, as the flu’s case is increasing significantly,” said Baycare’s highest quality responsibility. “It’s not too late to shoot the flu. Vaccination is still the best protection for severe diseases and hospitalization.”
Influenza symptoms usually include cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, and fatigue. This virus can lead to complications that threaten life, such as pneumonia.
Research suggests that long cold spells may have helped virus spread. The low humidity, so the respiratory drops containing the virus move further, increasing the possibility of propagation. In addition, indoor gathering becomes more frequent due to the cold temperature.
Studies showed that cells in the nasal cavity were indicated that they could not fight virus at cold temperature.
Influenza spreads while the transmission of other respiratory viruses in Florida remains low. The state data has shown that the number of respiratory cell viruses has increased only in a small number of counties, and the hospitalization has decreased as of January 15.
