Photo: Heavy snow seen in Florida during winter storm

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Florida isn’t usually a state that gets a lot of snow, but that changed Tuesday as a winter storm rolled through and covered roads and neighborhoods in snow.

Residents and stakeholders around the Panhandle sent eight “On Your Side” photos showing the amount of snow seen from their homes.

Florida airports closed due to snow, dangerous winter conditions in Panhandle

Up to 6 inches of snow is predicted to fall in some parts of Florida, a big change for residents of the Sunshine State.
