SANFORD, Fla. (WFLA) — A Florida pastor is facing sexual charges in a child after he attempted a relationship with two minor girls by touching on them, Sanford police said Thursday.
On April 10, the police department received reports of an inappropriate relationship between the pastor of Iple Pentecostal Church in Sanford and two young girls.

Investigators said 33-year-old Yersson David Solarte Basto “spooked to create and touch on both the victims who were members of the church. Solarte reportedly reportedly sexually assaulted one of the girls.
Following the allegations, Soralte was removed from his role as pastor, the officer said.
Sanford police were believed to arrest Soralte on Wednesday in collaboration with the Prince William County Police Department in Virginia, where he would be competing in a family trip there. The suspect will be transported to John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
Soralte was arrested on charges of sexual assault, indecency and lewd abuse.
Authorities said the suspect may be an additional casualty due to his position of trust as a pastoral role. Sanford investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the police station at 407-688-5070 or Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
“These people are special class criminals who use their status of trust to prey on innocent victims,” Chief Cecil Smith said. “Soralte is currently behind the bar he belongs to. We pray that there are no additional people sacrificed to this man. If you have information about these crimes or other victims, we will help you get ahead and protect your child.”
