ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) – Passengers on a frontier flight from Florida feared “end” after the plane’s wheels broke during a hard landing Tuesday evening.
According to the Frontier, the 5306 flight from Orlando to San Juan experienced a hard landing upon arrival.

Melani Gonzalez Wharton filmed the view outside the window from her seat, showing orange glow and sparks under the plane.
Gonzalez Wharton said one of the tires in front of the plane broke and set fire to it.
“For a few minutes I thought it was the end of our story here. We were landing, the landing was very bad, aggressive, fast…it all happened in my window,” González Wharton wrote on Facebook.
A video from González Wharton shows that the plane has no left front wheel after landing.
A Frontier spokesman told WFLA.com that the aircraft landed safely and no one was hurt.
The incident is under investigation.
