According to Vice President of Marketing Jeff Stanford, one of the things Orlando Science Center does best is people who are curious about something in the world and people who want to help them explore it. It is said that it is to connect.
OSC’s Science on Tap fundraiser is now in its fourth year and continues to prove that more people are interested in beer.
On January 25th, this family-friendly festival returns to Orlando’s Loch Haven Park. More than 20 craft breweries come together to satisfy this thirst for knowledge and age-old thirst.

From 1pm to 4pm (noon admission for VIP guests), people can sample local favorites from Ten 10 Brewing, Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co, Three Odd Guys Brewing, Windermere Brewing Company and more . All-new addition: Mead as well.
Stanford was clueless about mead until he met Ginger Lee and Joe Lee of Zymarium Meadery in Orlando. They will be doing a big presentation to educate festival goers about this ancient adult beverage made from honey.

“I thought mead was just like The Lord of the Rings,” he says with a laugh. “But mead is an incredibly elegant and versatile drink, and[the Lees]are extremely passionate about what they do and are able to bring the gentle science of the process to festival guests.” I think it will add an extra layer to the event.”
There’s plenty of suds here, from the ones on the small souvenir sampling glasses (admission required) to the not-so-drinkable ones that squirt out of the tops of towering inflatable beer mugs. .
“Kids love bubbles!” Stanford notes that children 15 and under can get in for free with their parents’ Science on Tap ticket.

Speaking of which, general admission to the festival is $50 ($40 for OSC members), but if you purchase a $75 VIP ticket, you get early admission, two drinks of your choice, and the usual goodies (beer samples, , souvenir glasses) as well as food truck discounts. , homebrew demos, interactive science exhibits and presentations, lawn games, and more, your designated driver will enjoy with all proceeds going to the Orlando Science Center.
Stanford says geeks are welcome.
“Some people love beer so much that they turn into geeks as soon as they attend a festival. Our place is a place where you can feel free to ask questions about things you don’t know and share your knowledge with others. .

“This event really reflects the atmosphere of OSC,” Stanford said. “It’s fun, it’s family-friendly, and it ties into topics that people are interested in.”
