TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A year-long collaboration in Florida has led to the arrests of 44 sex offenders who authorities say have been caught on online dating profiles on platforms such as Match.com.
Officials say Match Group Americas, which owns and operates multiple online dating applications, including Match.com, Tinder, Hinge and abundance of fish, prohibits sex offenders from using the site.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Tampa Police Department, and the former US s-service all partnered with online dating companies to track sex offenders who had unreported accounts.
All confirmed accounts were immediately terminated, with 44 suspects arrested. Officials said the suspects include both sex offenders and sexual predators, which Florida law distinguishes by the severity of their crimes.

Several of those arrested were convicted of crimes such as sexually fired children and more troublesome love style and assault on children.
