Playoff Hopeful’s Columbus Blue Jackets hopes to extend their winning streak to five games as they visit Elant Bank Arena on Thursday at 7pm.
At the final meeting on October 15th in Columbus, the Panthers will see another team this time.
The Blue Jacket, who won four of the last five games, ranks fifth in the NHL, with a goal of around 3.33 goals.

boqvist has been expanded
The Swedish forwards don’t go anywhere.
On Tuesday, the Panthers announced that Jesper Boqvist has inked a two-year contract extension.
“That’s great,” Bokvist said following the extension. “I’m so happy and excited to be here for another two years. The main thing is to win. We have the opportunity to do that and that’s what we all want.”
Perfectly fits the Florida system, Boqvist has already scored a high career in goals (12), and is two points apart since his career surpassed the high points (23).
“From training camp, he’s just fit,” Maurice said of Bokvist. “His style of play, utility – we used him left, center, right. He has this lovely hybrid in his game. He can make plays, he has a little hand around the net, then he’s a dog on the bone.”
Vanecek joins the cat
The Panthers added some depth to their folds.
On Wednesday, Florida acquired goaltender Vitek Vanesek from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for forward prospect Patrick Giles.
“He has good numbers and he’s a good player,” Maurice said of the team’s latest netminder. “We have a big schedule so that’s good because we can take people with NHL experience with them. You have to play some games for him.”
In 181 career NHL games between San Jose (2024-25), New Jersey Devils (2021-22-2023-24), and the Washington Capitals (2020-21-2021-22), Vanecek has put together a 94-52-20 record.
The Czech goalkeeper also played in 10 career Stanley Cup playoff games between the Devils and Capitals.
With 20 games remaining in the regular season, the Panthers still have four consecutive backs on the deck.
