Buffalo, N.Y. (WIVB) – A North Collins man was killed in Florida last week and now his children say there is still a question of why his father died.
Rosscoil, a master cabinet maker in North Collins, was a man who loved his family, faith and work. Ross’ family said the 74-year-old will spend six months with his wife in Port Richie, Florida.
On January 27th, Ross was at John Haynelin’s home in Port Richie for dinner and drinks, according to law enforcement documents. Coyle’s family said Heinlin was Ross’ friend.
According to the document, Heinlin told law enforcement that Ross left in the evening. Haynlin claims he found what he believed to be an intruder in his house and shot him. Coyle was later declared dead in the hospital.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office confirmed with WIVB News 4 that Hainlin was charged with murder.
The aftermath of this left Ross’ family with more questions than answers. They said Coil is the basis for his wife Maria’s family and the main caretaker.
“We’re trying to bring some of our family back together, what’s the next step for our mother?” said Coyle’s daughter, Rachel Brooks. “Relocating to doctors, visiting hospitals, ongoing care treatment, time and support that occurred to find a new doctor. And of course, she has a full-time caregiver and a place she can now call home. I need it.”
The family launched GoFundMe to help with those costs.
Coil’s children said their parents’ 53rd anniversary was the day after he passed away.
“Our God has united us,” his wife wrote to him on a card. “I love you so much.”
His children said that it was a walking example of the father’s meaning of living, guidance and love.
