Port Charlotte, Fla. (WFLA) – Southwest Florida was quickly able to have its own Buc-EE location.
Next month’s Charlotte County officials will consider plans that could pave the way for a vast gas station and convenience store along Interstate 75, according to a report from NBC’s affiliate WBBH.

However, this proposal requires travelers to clear some major hurdles before running a beaver nugget or using “the cleanest toilet in America.”
Local lawmakers will consider rezoning the land from residential to commercial use at the May 27 hearing. When asked if the landowner wanted to have a Buc-EE there, Sean Cullinan, the official of Planning and Zoning, said “no doubt.”
“If they didn’t, they wouldn’t have applied. And I think they’re very moving because Buc-Ee is the contract buyer,” Cullinan told WBBH.
Residents said they were excited about the potential new store.
“Let me lip! Well, yeah, I’m from the old town. But what can I tell you? But you know that. Anything that is good for the economy and population, I think it’s great. I really do,” Randy Hoff told WBBH.
Despite the excitement, the proposed development comes a long way to come to reality.
“It’s still a potential project until they’re actually broken and we sit there and eat beaver nuggets,” Cullinan told WBBH.
