New Brazilian coffee concept heading for Orlando

The new coffee concept with Brazil’s DNA is heading to the Orlando area.

KITANDA COFFEE and ACAI plan to open three new stores in March and plan to expand for the first time outside the Pacific Northwest.

“I have about 10 stores in Seattle. I want to open it in Orlando for Orlando’s population statistics with the Brazilian community. The density has become much faster for North American Brazilian,” Kita -anda. Lewis Ceiden, Managing Director, said. The company also has one store in Oregon.

Kita sells high -quality coffee, acai products, and Brazilian pastry like cheese bread. This name means a small food and convenience store, and is spelled out in Portuguese as Quitanda.

“If someone tries to sell a non -Brazilian Asai, he will escape quickly,” he laughed. “We have our own bakery in the company. We intend to open a bakery in Orlando for Brazilian cheese bread and Brazilian other specialty products.”

Depending on the size of Kita, the company can buy it from a small Brazilian farm.

“We are procuring (ACAI) from very unique Brazilian people. They understand (ACAI) and are trying to get as close to purity as possible,” he explained, and the company explains, the company is sugar or coconut water. Is to make it easier to distribute by adding to Asai. “When we thought that Asai would be a trend, we’ve been doing this for about 20 years, but now it’s a lifestyle.”

Coffee comes from a small Brazilian cooperative and has a highly highly evaluated coffee to meet the needs of Kita, but not enough for some large companies.

At the moment, all coffee is roasted in Seattle, but if things go well in Orlando, there may be a roasting place here.

John Boff started a cornerstore in Seattle in 1998 and sold products to people there from Brazil. Immediately, he expanded to a coffee shop, brought Brazilian coffee, and competed with a larger Seattle retailer like Starbucks.

“We have a very strong presence in Seattle, and it’s the only game in the town (in Seattle) for Braziles,” said Condition. Seattle’s Brazilian population is about 16,000. It is about 10 times the Orlando area.

The three stores are already in progress, but the other has not been confirmed yet. The former Starbucks place will soon become Hunter’s Creek Kita, and work is in progress at the celebration and the Legacy Plaza of Kissmy.

“We are trying to be the first place to be the Brazilian people who have a community. I think it will be useful for building traffic,” he said. Everywhere. “Celebration Pointe is opposite to high school, both high school and ACAI.”

The range of each location is 1,500 to 2,500 square feet, and the festive Point 1 is the maximum.

According to recent data, Orlando has recognized the competition in both the Orlando Asai market and the coffee market, and has the second largest coffee shop in Japan to the country in the country. He said he was there.

We are also planning to see if the two other coffee companies on the west coast have recently expanded to this area. Oregon -based Dutch Brothers currently have three operating locations as part of Orlando Rollout. Story Building Coffee is part of a composite project plan in downtown Winter Park.

“Hopefully, our assumptions about the market are correct. I’m looking forward to providing ACAI and Coffee to the community. Our bakery will surprise many communities.”
