RAILY, N.C. (WNCN) – Family and friends are struggling to deal with the deaths of Raleigh’s mother and her four children in a weekend crash on Interstate 95 in Georgia.

Reagan Dougan, 27, and her four children, ranging from 9 years old to just three months old, headed out from Raleigh to visit Reagan’s husband in Florida when a shipwreck occurred Sunday morning.

“Our minds are shattered into millions of works by the devastating loss of Reagan Doogan and her precious four children,” John Sea CJ wrote on social media about the Doogan family and friends after the death.

The two-car collision occurred around 6am along Interstate 95 near Exit 67 in Macintosh County, about 35 miles south of Savannah, Georgia.

The Dougan children were 9 years old, 4, 2, and 3 months old. The family lived in Raleigh.

“I can’t imagine her poor husband and family feeling. My heart is broken. I will never promise tomorrow. I have no words,” wrote Lindsay Marie, who attended high school with Reagan. “Rest in peace, angel. You don’t know how much you were loved.”

Reagan Doogan’s family told CBS 17 that she had taken her children to meet with her husband, Christian Doogan.

By Monday, a GoFundMe was created to support families. It raised over $30,000 in just 24 hours, and by Tuesday night it had exceeded $50,000.

“Many of my happiest memories are with you. I will never forget all the crazy things we had in. “You were one of the strongest women I ever knew. I will love you forever.”

The wreck occurred while the Duggan Jeep SUV moved south in the left lane, Georgia State Truparklistopher Ashdown said.

The body of a Florida woman was found hidden in a man’s resort hotel room, deputies say

A witness in the car handed over by the SUV said he would “travel at high speed.”

The SUV then crashed into the rear of the sedan, and after the crash, the SUV exploded into flames, he said.

Video of the scene showed a burnt car crashed beside the median guardrail under the elevated railway. Images show that a white car stopped in a nearby center lane, showing significant damage to the rear.
