During the Foggy Landing approach, Cessnajet hit a Naval Residential District.
Three members of the well-known music talent agency are estimated to have died after crashing into a military housing district in San Diego early Thursday, according to an agency and local government statement.
The clash occurred just before 4am in Murphy Canyon, the country’s largest U.S. Navy-owned residential community.
Cessna 550 quote Jets slammed on the power lines, slammed them into the house, causing an explosion, and jet fuel sent down the street. The fuel lit at least six vehicles and damaged around 10 homes, San Diego Fire Department chief Dan Eddie said at a press conference.
Visibility was significantly limited by the thick fog, Eddie said. At the time of the crash, “I was barely able to see it in front of you.”
Six people were on the plane, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Authorities continue their investigation before releasing more details, but no survivors are believed to have been boarded.
“There’s absolutely no word to describe what the scene looks like, but it was pretty scary to watch as jet fuel went down the street and everything was on fire at once,” said San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl.
Two of his colleagues, Dave Shapiro, co-founder of Sound Talent Group, and his colleagues, were among those who were killed, the agency confirmed in a statement.
“We are devastated by the loss of our co-founders, colleagues and friends. Our hearts are directed at our families and everyone affected by today’s tragedy,” said Sound Talent Group. Agents representing artists such as Hanson, Vanessa Carlton and Sum 41 also added that Shapiro is the owner of Velocity Records.
The crash destroyed at least one home, burning its front part badly, causing partial roof collapse, but other homes and vehicles were also severely damaged.
San Diego police officer Anthony Carrasco said that while none of the neighbours were killed, eight people were hospitalized due to inhaling smoke and other life-threatening injuries.
More than 100 residents evacuated to nearby elementary schools and as firefighters fought a car fire, a jet fuel smell remained in the air for hours after the crash.
The jet departed Teterboro, New Jersey, near Manhattan, around 11:15pm on Wednesday. According to NTSB investigator Elliot Simpson, he ended up in the final approach to Montgomery Gibbs’ executive airport when the fuel was stopped in Wichita, Kansas, crashed about two miles from the runway.

Residents explained they were going to run away from their homes.
Retired sailor Christopher Moore said he and his wife grabbed their three young sons and woke up loudly, and ran out of their home after seeing the flames outside.
“It was certainly scary, but sometimes you have to drop your head and get to safety,” Moore said.

Ariya Waterworth said she saw a giant fireball outside after awakening to “Hooshing Sound.” Firefighters helped her evacuate with her children and dogs.
